Get all Warm + Fuzzy: 3 Tips for a Stellar Brand Experience

You know that warm + fuzzy feeling you get when you’ve just popped into the Coach Outlet to grab a quick gift for your bestie {and happen to pick up a new wallet for yourself} and the girl that is ringing up your purchase is meticulously wrapping your gift {and your gift to yourself} in tissue paper with a little sticker and gingerly putting it in the bag?

That’s when you know you have had an experience.

What about when you fall in love with a piece of clothing or shoes and suddenly you love everything from that designer and obsess over the what they are presenting at fashion week in New York?

And do you smile every time someone says “My Pleasure” after you place an order?

Guess what? That's totally on purpose. You are having a brand experience.

“A what?” Hold onto your britches + let me explain.

As a business owner, you want your customers to feel a certain way when they work with you, especially after you provide them with top notch service. You don’t want to them to walk away with a bad taste in their mouth + never work with you again or worse talk bad about you. Am I right?

You want them to get that warm + fuzzy feeling like they have just gotten the best massage of their life + smile from ear to ear when someone mentions you or your business. You want your client to fall in love with your products + keep coming back for more. The world you create for them all circles back around to your brand.

That place where your why inspires your how.

People fall in love with why you do what you do. Because… people don’t buy what you do, they buy why you do it {preach is Simon}. Ultimately, the passion you demonstrate in your why + how you deliver that passion provides an experience.

Your Brand Experience!

When someone works with you, HOW do you want them to feel when they walk away?

That is your Brand Experience!

It’s the culture of the business you create + how you make people feel. Your brand symbolizes that experience.

Here are 3 tips that will help you in providing a brand experience that exceeds expectations:

  • Be Happy + Smile: if you love what you do, it will transcend into your why + how you deliver your product or service. Your customers mirror your behavior. So if you are happy + smile, they will do the same.
  • Show A Lotta Love: Love on your customers {and your vendors, they are just as important}. Send them handwritten notes thanking them. Shower them with kindness in all your correspondences. Give them a little gift showing your appreciation. In other words, don’t be a dick. And when all else fails… chocolate. Buy them chocolates!
  • ALWAYS Do What You Say: This is one of the most important things you need to make sure you deliver on. If you say your customer is going to feel luxury in your brand, you best deliver. If you promise to provide a service, you damned well better do it. You want them to walk away being satisfied + like they just had their last first kiss.

So take a few minutes + write down how you want your customers to feel when they walk away. Are you providing them that feeling of ‘I’m in love'? Remember you want them to walk away feeling like a million bucks {and the added bonus is they might recommend you to their friends}. What’s the best experience you have ever had with a brand? How did you feel? Leaveus a comment and share the love {because we want to get loved up on too}.
